I, Carlos Morales, Executive Director of the Heart of Camden and James MacFarlane, Founding Golf Tournament Chairperson, feel great pride to invite you to join us for the 34th Annual Sr. Peg Hynes Golf Classic at the Pennsauken Country Club in Pennsauken, New Jersey, on Friday, May 24, 2019.
The event is named in honor of Sister Peg, who was a beloved and inspirational leader at the Heart of Camden as well as our tournament founder. And, to celebrate her legacy that lives on in our work in the Waterfront South neighborhood, our chosen theme for this year’s tournament is GETTING BACK
Over the past 15 months, the Board of Directors and Staff have been focused on building the bridge that connects back to the to the magnificent history of the Heart of Camden which spans over 34
years of creating nearly 300 Places To Call Home, Open Spaces for kids to play and Building Places for the Arts to nourish the minds and souls of Camden. To secure the legacy of the organization,
our Founder Monsignor Michael Doyle and our beloved leader Sr. Peg Hynes, many necessary changes have occurred. The past 15 months have been focused on rebuilding relationships, restructuring operations and establishing a vision for moving forward.
Our Sister Peg Hynes Memorial Golf Tournament will again be held at the Pennsauken Country Club on Friday, May 24, 2019. There will be one round of golf. Registration 8am, golf shotgun 9am.
An expanded buffet lunch is included with the golf ticket. Non-golfers are welcome to join us for our Awards Luncheon where we will be presenting the 2019 Sr. Peg Hynes Service Award. All who would like to attend the luncheon festivities may buy a lunch only ticket for $50. “Lunch only” guests should
plan to arrive around 1:00p.m. to enjoy cocktails and the raffle auction. The buffet lunch will start when the golfers come off the course.
Our 32nd Anniversary Raffle Tickets are also available for $50 for this year’s 50/50 Raffle. The top prize for the raffle has been in the $3,000 range in recent years!
