Dear Friends,

As we approach the 37th Annual Sister Peg Hynes Memorial Golf Tournament, we’re not just celebrating an
event; we’re marking the 40th Anniversary of the Heart of Camden, Inc. This milestone signifies our long-
standing dedication as one of New Jersey’s oldest community development organizations, committed to the
revitalization and empowerment of Camden’s neighborhoods.

This special year, our golf tournament will not only continue its tradition of camaraderie and competition but
also spotlight the transformative projects and initiatives we are embarking upon. From building homes that
anchor families and communities to launching comprehensive programs aimed at education, health, and
economic development, our efforts are tailored to meet the evolving needs of the communities we serve.
In 2024, we’re focusing on several key areas:

Expanding Affordable Housing: Continuing to increase access to safe and affordable housing
for more families in Camden.

Enhancing Community Spaces: Developing and rejuvenating public spaces to foster community
engagement and wellness.

Empowering Youth and Families: Launching new educational and support programs that address
the holistic needs of our residents.

The Sister Peg Hynes Memorial Golf Tournament offers a wonderful opportunity for you to be part of this
journey. Your participation and support enable us to carry forward these initiatives, building a stronger, more
vibrant Camden. Join us on Thursday May 23 for golf (12 noon registration, 1pm shotgun tee-off) and Awards
Dinner (5:30pm) at the Pennsauken Country Club. Enclosed are the various ways you can contribute including
our 37th Anniversary Raffle. Sponsorship Opportunities available with our deadline on May 12. If you’re unable
to attend, please consider a tax-deductible donation to support our mission.

As we celebrate 40 years of dedicated service, your support is more crucial than ever. Together, let’s honor this
legacy and continue to make a difference in the lives of Camden’s families and communities.
Thank you for being part of our story and for your continued partnership in building a brighter future
for Camden.
Warm regards,

Sincerely,
